Who It's For

    For families and family offices

    By David Verdesi · Updated

This work supports families and family offices where wealth, responsibility, and relationship are inseparable. It is a private, dialogue-based relationship with a teacher — not therapy and not consulting — that helps a family speak honestly about succession, stewardship, and direction, so that decisions about capital and legacy follow from a clear shared understanding rather than inherited assumption.

What do families usually bring to this work?

Rarely a crisis. More often a question that has been circling for years: who carries what, who decides, and what the family is actually for. The dialogue makes room for each generation to be honest at the level where honesty changes outcomes.

How is this different from advisory or therapy?

Advisors structure assets; therapists treat pathology. This work sits earlier than both: it examines the premises a family lives by. When those become clear, legal, financial, and governance choices stop contradicting one another.

How does a family office engage?

Engagement begins with a diagnostic consultation. From there the work is held inside the one-year Private Wisdom Advisory relationship, in one-to-one sessions and, where useful, sessions with a couple or across generations — online or in person, with full confidentiality.

What tends to change over a year?

Families report fewer unspoken agreements, clearer succession intent, and a steadier way of disagreeing. No specific outcome is promised; the work is a relationship, not a programme.
