A private conversation in Uruguay
At the Sowing Vitality Retreat at Fasano Las Piedras in Punta del Este, Uruguay, David Verdesi addressed a private audience of business leaders, entrepreneurs and medical professionals. This opening excerpt considers impermanence, the wish to live longer and our relationship with the cycles of nature.
The question is not only how to extend life. It is how to care for it without turning away from change and ageing.
The wish to live—and the capacity to accept change
David welcomes the desire to be alive while asking the audience to examine its relationship with life’s limits. Through Eros and Thanatos, he describes two sides of a shared human condition and the need for balance.
This is a philosophical and experiential reflection. It is not a medical protocol, an argument against healthcare or a claim that acceptance produces a particular health result.
A question worth bringing into the room
What would you want a longer life to make possible—beyond the number of years?
Consider one relationship, responsibility or experience that you would want to give more attention. The invitation is to connect longevity with the life being lived now.
For family offices and longevity programmes
For a family office, leadership circle or longevity programme, this conversation offers a human perspective alongside the technical discussion of health and additional years. It creates space to ask about purpose, responsibility, relationships and the use of time.
David’s contribution here is not another optimisation protocol. It is a question about what those efforts are intended to serve.

From an event to sustained private work
A seminar opens a question. David’s private work, Burn the Illusions, offers a one-year relationship with a teacher in which questions can be explored across real choices and relationships. His Human Integration Algorithm™ is the named framework of that work, connecting attention, foresight, truth, action, feedback and integration.
This is an invitation to examine suitability—not a promise of a predetermined result.
