If you can’t explain it, it is because you didn’t understand it. So, you still remain unconscious. It’s the movement from the chaotic unconscious to order conscious.
We stand on the shoulders of giants. That’s why there are moments when I just refer to the authority of historical figures. Buddha said: “There are no things that can’t be explained. There are just things that are not understood.”
The process of coming to true understanding—that is self-knowledge, because true understanding is equal to self-knowledge—is not such an easy thing as people make it out to be. Especially if you don’t have a teacher; without establishing the original refuge, the dialogical self, you are moving into a mirror rooms of smoke, illusion and mirrors. Where you think this is but it's that. And so it’s not an easy process. It’s a very serious method.
As I say, business is easy. It’s objective. This is subjective. It is extremely difficult to navigate because it’s subjective; it’s not objective. To turn the subjective into an objective field—reality—there are very precise rules, conditions and events that need to happen.
